The delegation of rectors from Chilean professional schools visited us to learn more about the German higher education system.
We had the pleasure of welcoming guests from the Chilean Council of Rectors of Accredited Professional Institutes and Technical Training Centers (VERTEBRAL)!
The delegation of rectors from Chilean professional schools visited us to learn more about the German higher education system and how we integrate industry collaboration and innovation into our teaching and research.
Our colleague Johanna Höhl introduced the delegation to LMU Munich, our Economic Geography Group, and Munich as a vibrant hub for innovation. She presented our GIST-Hub project, which connects German and Latin American experts from research and practice to foster sustainability innovation. Denise Gutiérrez shared insights from the project “Local Public Procurement in Chile and Peru”, explaining how local public procurement practices can drive regional development. Finally, Dr. Barbara Blaurock from LMU’s Research Transfer Unit outlined how LMU supports innovation research and start-ups.
